Product Description

Jawbone PRIME uses an algorithm that digitally fuses together the best audio from its two electret microphones (the clean preserved high-end frequencies of speech) and its patented Voice Activity Sensor (the low-end frequencies of speech) to create a single, natural sounding speech signal.

Acoustic Voice Activity Detector (AVAD) provides a fail-safe mechanism when the Voice Activity Sensor (VAS) doesn't touch your face. When the VAS is not touching the face, Jawbone PRIME performs as good as or better than any other noise cancelling headset. When the VAS touches the face, you get the turbo-boost to the NoiseAssassin performance.

Jawbone PRIME also has a subtle wind feedback mechanism built into the headset that gently alerts you when voice clarity is compromised due to wind gusts so the user can self-correct. While Jawbone PRIME does not completely remove the impact of wind, it does more than any other headset to remove wind and alert the user to the fact that wind may be affecting the conversation. This is the beginning of Jawbone's journey toward silencing wind.

Functionally, the design has also been enhanced by a slight indication in the shield's texture, a small tactile crease that indicates where the switch is located. The inside contours of the product follow your face in a perfectly comfortable manner, while new ergonomic earbuds have been refined to keep the Jawbone in place without an earloop for most wearers.

Jawbone Prime Bluetooth Headset
Reviewed by Derek Kessler
The Jawbone has been consistently held up as the gold standard of Bluetooth headsets. In its latest iteration, the Jawbone Prime, Aliph has added new features that enhance the praised headset’s superior noise cancellation abilities. The Jawbone Prime now performs admirably in the face of wind noise (a major sticking point on previous versions), as well as providing decent noise cancellation even when the vibration-sensing activity sensor is not touching your skin.

The Jawbone line has received many much needed improvements with the Prime. The much-lauded noise cancellation system is notably better and able to cope with more variables. The inclusion of new earbuds allow for a much more customizable fit and let the user wear the headset even without the ear hook. That said, the controls are still frustratingly obscure and speaker quality is not quite good enough for the price. But if you’re in the market for a stylish headset with superior noise cancellation abilities, the Jawbone Prime should most definitely be on your list.

StarStarStarStarStar Pretty good.....
User: J DySart, Apr 9, 2010

Pros:  Good audio
Cons:  Not for deep voices

The Jaw Bone is a really nice bluetooth headset...but its not good for people with deep voices. Most people say that my voice sounds muffled. My wife also has one and her voice is clear as day, but when I use hers I get the same results. So if you have a deep voice, this is not for you.

StarStarStarStarStar not very good at all

Pros:  great look
Cons:  hard to operate

This is my second one, the first one returned. Does not pair very well with the pre. Has to be reset many times. Somtimes no lights (very hard to see light when it is on) and will not turn on left me stranded when the charger was left at home and now no lights and unable to turn headset on.

good looking but no the worth the price for sure.
