Thought it was pointless - but now I love it
With my Treo, I had a charger at home, and one on my desk at work. That way when I used my phone during meetings, I could charge it back up. I decided that was the way to go with my Pre as well, so I ordered this dual charging kit.
It arrived, and yes, it had all the fancy new Palm packaging with the "user experience" features, blah blah blah. Please. Just send the thing in a plain brown box and knock $10 off the price.
The phone back popped on easily, and was a nice surprise - instead of the old, shiny phone back, this new one was a matte finish, much nicer, and easier to grip.
The power supply came with a bunch of plugs on it to adapt to pretty well every country in the world. Great - so I can take my CDMA Pre, which works ONLY in Canada and the US, and charge it in every country in the world. Useless, I would have preferred just a standard North American plug, and $10 off the price, thank you.
The Touchstone itself is cool. It has this "sticky" rubber on the bottom to keep it from moving - but its not adhesive. That is, it sticks to whatever you put it on, but it doesnt use adhesive, so it leaves no marks, and can be easily removed and re-stuck anywhere else.
Putting the phone on it, magnets instantly hold it in place, and the phone makes its uniform "ba-bong" noise. It then pops a clock onto the screen, dims the screen, and stays that way until you take it off the charger.
That is...sometimes. Sometimes, the phone, once the battery gets full, decides to go on charge/off charge/on charge/off charge every couple of minutes, each time making its "ba-bong" noise, which gets REALLY irritating after a while. Taking it off for a few minutes then putting it back on seems to fix the problem.
Overall, I really like the thing, and recommend it to any Pre owner.

Pros: Simple quick way to charge, nice phone back
Cons: Keeps beeping when full
